Conflict with contextually related posts and feedburner
« on: August 03, 2009, 07:08:42 PM »

We have discovered a conflict with your contextually related post and feedburner....  :(

Recently we moved hosting company... and when we did our feed quit working in feed burner... when we troubleshot the problem we discovered that when we turned off the contextually related post... our feed came active again....

I love the plug in and would like to put it back on the site...

do you have any idea why this is happening and how to fix it? ???

hi Paula,

I have not noticed any such conflict. I have CRP on three blogs on different servers and they all use FB.

Can you check if there is a configuration error, or is there another plugin that could possibly be clashing with CRP?

Are you using a plugin to manage your feedburner?

Yeah it is weird for sure... but after we shut down all of the plug ins and turned them back on one at a time... CRP was the one that caused the problem when it was turned back on.

Do you have some kind of error logs or similar that I could try to figure it out?

Ok we put the plug in back on last night and it created a conflict so bad that it almost totally shut down our site... we could not get our admin section to load nor the site...

I can get you one... but I don't really want to put the plug in back on during high traffic times...

This is very strange indeed. What was the error?

Also when you were turning plugins back on, did you turn CRP on first?

Contextual Related Posts....

when I turned on Contextual Related Posts the whole site went haywire and would not connect to the server... and to get it to turn off again I had to go into the file manager of my host to do it

Here is the error I think I am getting...

818423 | db72713 | 70.32.68.15:60365 | db72713_wp | Query | 56 | Writing to net | SELECT option_name, option_value FROM wp_options WHERE autoload = 'yes' |

That isn't something that CRP does, then again it could be a clash with any of the above four plugins.
