Sidebar Collapse on added page
« on: March 10, 2010, 03:49:33 AM »

Hi Ajay,

I'm helping custumize a friends site and upon adding a page for the plug-in "Events registration with paypal"  and adding a little shortcode I am seeing that the sidebar slides under the page-content.  I'm not sure what this might happen.  Is there anything that you can see?

Sorry about all the customization.  She really wants a unique site.  There is no alteration in the structure though.

What's even more amazing is that when I login as admin and then view the site everything goes back to its proper place.  :o

Hi Kris,

You are not offending me.

Is this only with the Event registration plugin that you face this issue? It's a high possibility that they may not made a compatible code for the sidebar widget.

Ajay,

I wish it was only with the Event plug-in but I created a Test page and the sidebar collapses there too.

Too add to my my previous post, when I go to a computer that I haven't viewed the site with the sidebar issue is there until I login and then everything works.  It's odd....

Kris,

I don't see a problem at http://www.womeninnetworkingnw.com/ and http://www.womeninnetworkingnw.com/?page_id=2 but there is definitely a problem with the Events plugin page.

I'm not so sure how this works, but if you view the source, you'll notice that there are no closed divs, which is what is breaking the page.

How is this page with id 21 designed?

Ajay,

I should have thought to view source.  I usually do.

All I did is place the following short code: "{EVENTREGIS}" (without the quotes) into the text box and clicked Publish.

On page ID 28 the page collapses as well and all I did there is create a new page (with the default function) with no content at all.

This also has the same problem.

Have you modified the default code of the template? Can you try replacing the theme again (backup yours first) and checking.

I deleted everything and reinstalled the template to all defaults.  I then created a new page called Test and put one sentence in the text box and the page still collapsed.

Here is the page link. http://www.womeninnetworkingnw.com/?page_id=34

I've looked at other templates but this is the template I want to use. Any suggestions?
