Pages - question
« on: February 06, 2010, 01:48:24 AM »

Hi there...

I love your theme and am using it for new website. I am new to Wordpress, so please bear with me.

I was wondering how I can make a "page" capable of posts, like my home page? I want my photography page to be like my home page, so that I can update it daily with blog photo posts vs. just laying out the photos all on one page. Is this possible? Thank you!

To answer your first question, you can't. Since WordPress doesn't support this feature.

You can edit the header.php to change links. By default I have the header set to linking to the blog homepage

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Strange, I have friends who use Wordpress and have pages that will support posts. I'll have to ask them what they are doing.

The header does not go to the homepage; it's unclickable since I put in my own custom header. Can you please explain to me in detail how to go about adding a link to that banner so that it is set to the homepage? Please keep in mind that I am not that technically inclined! :)

Thanks,
Clare

Interesting about the header part. I guess WP knocks off the links. Have you chosen it to disable the display of text?

But, you can always edit the header.php file to manually add the link.
